The 2024 BMX season saw a lot of VTR members injured. Matt and Vanessa both had crashes early in the season; Matt with a broken wrist and Vanessa with a dislocated elbow, which resulted in them missing two months of racing. Tyler was still recovering from his broken collarbone, making it hard for him to get a good start in the season. Craig also broke his collarbone, but he managed to race toward the end of the season. Paul sprained his ankle and had a hard time getting back to racing, but he still showed up to root for the rest of our members. Once the doctor cleared him, he managed to come back and finish strong in the season.
We acquired a new rider mid-way through the season, Brittney Villareal. She has been riding with Revolution Bike Park along with her husband. However, she's now a VTR member, and we are delighted to have her!
In the end, it was a great season, despite numerous injuries, not only among our own VTR members but also among many others in the BMX community. Luckily, we all made it and are now getting ready for next season!
We want to wish Tyler, Chandler, and April all the best in their new BMX adventure with Trilogy BMX team. We also wish the Hackmans' brothers all the best and hope to see them around at a track sometime!
