Saturday was a fantastic day for BMX, and VTR was out in full force! While several team members hit the track at Trilogy Bike Park in Pottstown, PA, for the opening day of the 2025 season, another VTR rider was repping the crew at the Core Creek Flatland BMX Jam & BBQ in Langhorne, PA.

At Trilogy, the rain stayed away, the sun was shining, and excitement was in the air. Riders from all over gathered to kick off the season with serious energy and skill. The competition was intense—especially with the new total points rule shaking up the results and keeping everyone on their toes.

We’re also excited to announce a new addition to the VTR family! Joey Johnson, just 10 years old, raced his very first intermediate class today—and we couldn’t be prouder. Welcome to the team, Joey!

Vanessa lined up against two experienced racers in a tough class and held her own, securing 3rd place. Meanwhile, Matt and Paul found themselves in a nearly full gate, battling five other strong riders. It was anyone’s race to win! Matt rode smart, staying close to the lead and clinching an impressive 3rd overall. Paul faced a few hurdles during his motos and finished 7th overall, but make no mistake—his grit and drive are only gaining momentum. Expect big things from him this season.

Over in Langhorne, Chris Wong joined an all-star crew of flatland freestyle riders from across the East Coast—from New York to Virginia. The Core Creek Park Flatland BMX Jam brought riders together for a day of community, creativity, and throwback tricks spanning from the 1980s to today's cutting-edge combos.

The jam had a chill vibe, but things turned up during the Best Trick contest—and Chris delivered big time. He landed a clean, no-handed bar endo that stole the show and earned him first place and a $100 prize. A well-deserved win in a field packed with talent and style.

Whether it was on the track or on the flat, VTR riders made their presence known this weekend. Here's to more great moments ahead in the 2025 BMX season!
